Believe me when I say this, posting something about Twilight is the last thing I wanted to do but when I was enlightened on this soundtrack it blew my pants straight off. Honestly, this soundtrack is stunning. I’ve been waiting for many moons (pun-intended) for a compilation to de-thrown the almighty Garden State soundtrack and that day has finally come. This album boasts huge bands ranging mostly in the alternative indie genre but still packs an insane punch. Heading the cavalery is the Death Cab for Cutie song (Meet Me On The Equinox) which is everything it was built up to be and is coupled by some other monumentally epic songs from Thom Yorke, The Killers, Muse, and the list only gets better. CHECK IT!

In a time where vampires have been all the rage, Universal Studios has thrown another creature of the night film into the mix, speficially Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistance. As some of you might remember Cirque du Freak is a popular series of books by Darren Shan that deals with “a teenager who unknowingly breaks a 200-year-old truce between two warring factions of vampires” (Moviefone). That being said let me break it down even more for you “16-year-old Darren (Chris Massoglia) who was like most kids in his suburban neighborhood. Hung out with his best friend, got decent grades and usually stayed out of trouble. But when he and his buddy stumble upon a traveling freak show, things begin to change inside Darren. That’s the exact moment when a vampire named Larten Crepsley (John C. Reilly) turns him into something, well, bloodthirsty” (Moviefone)….I wish I could more in depth, but the rest you’ll have to find out what happens in the theaters. You can bet your in for a treat though when lead vampire is played by John C. Reilly and the bearded lady by Salma Hayek . Could this become the next big movie franchise…we can only hope.
