With Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen about to hit theaters in about two days, we have all turned off our thirst for comic relief and have focused on the essential need for bad ass explosions, sleek cars, and non-stop action…oh and the heart-stopping Megan Fox running in slow motion.
Having said that, the boys over at Paramount Vantage must have realized that it would most likely be pointless to put out any film around the Transformer sequel’s opening. That logic might pay off for them with their August 14th release of “The Goods: Live Hard. Sell Hard.”, with the ever so popular Jeremy Piven playing the lead role as a fast talking/whitty salesman name Don Ready. Joining Piven is a proven supporting cast that has produced plenty of laughter throughout more recent years.
The plot goes like this: Don Ready (Piven), who is a widely known used car liquidator, is hired by a dwindling auto dealership in hopes that he can turn their Fourth of July car sale into a profitable event, thus saving the dealership…it seems kinda cliche I know, but judging from the trailer this movie has a huge chance to land itself on the summer movie hit’s list and not on the misses list like the current comedy Land of the Lost. It won’t be the best comedy of the summer (that goes to The Hangover of course), but it will definitely be remembered.
