The most recent release from The Starting Line is their live cd/dvd called “Somebody’s Gonna Miss Us.” In this case, the album’s title definitely reigns true…
The dvd portion takes an in depth look at the band as they talk about their anxious beginnings, their unfortunate ending, and everything in between.
The audio portion of the record is a live recording of the band playing 18 tracks with songs ranging from their earlier material to their newest. A definite must have if you’re a fan of The Starting Line.
Myself being an avid fan, I cannot wait to buy this album, which came out November 10th of this year.
“Somebody’s gonna miss us,” says The Starting Line…
Damn straight.

-first song, not too sure what Jay-Z song it is, but John Mayer kills it..
-then there’s this little interlude where Mayer does a riff from Jay-Z’s “Dirt of Your Shoulder”
-then once Mayer starts playing the guitar part for Jay-Z’s “DOA,” down comes the house.
EPIC PERFORMANCE.
Maybe its the rythmic tones or the almost sinister sounding vioce, either way, Julian Plenti will send chills down your spine (both good and bad). Our first double feature of a singer begins with Julian Plenti, whose real name is actually Paul Banks and is also the lead singer from last weeks featured band Interpol. Why do this? Banks has actually been performing under this alias for over seven years and not only that but some of the songs featured on his debut album Julian Plenti is…Skyscraper he wrote over ten years ago! The man is absolutely brilliant and in this debut album he incorporates many different sounds, he even brings in a symphony for acouple killer songs. Disregard the song Unwind, its not only terribe, but it doesn’t even fit the feel of the rest of the cd. That being said PLEASE check out Girl On the Sporting News it is curently my new favorite and is not the type of song you only listen to once. As for the rest of the album, chek it out, and like always you won’t be disappointed!
First things first… what IS augmented reality?
According to Wikipedia, “augmented reality is term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are merged with (or augmented by) virtual computer-generated imagery – creating a mixed reality.”
If I can describe augmented reality as simple as possible, you can basically control and manipulate the virtual environment yourself.
Below is a video of me actually using augmented reality on John Mayer’s music video-

It was brought to my attention the other day that the readers maybe aren’t grasping the concept we’ve thought up for Musing Music, therefore ill take the liberty of delegating to you what its all about… There is an astronomical amount of bands out there with only fractions getting any love so what we plan on doing in this musical endevor is to tour all different types and genres while presenting this universal concept: If it sounds good then you bet your ass we’ll be featuring it. That means new and old and everything in between. With that being said, I bring to you Interpol. The band consists of four ridiculously talented guys who have a passion for deriving music that is not only catchy but very thought provoking. Weather your diggin the mind consuming slow grooves in Rest My Chemistry, or your hittin it face first with The Heinrich Maneuver, you will fully comprehend what complex, and damn-good, music sounds like. Check out the entire CD titled Our Love to Admire and trust me you won’t regret it.
