Iron Man 2 is steadily under development as the sequel’s release of may 7, 2010 nears. What to expect in this action flick? Well, the movie picks back up on Tony Stark (Robert Downing Jr.) about six months after he revealed his identity as Iron Man at the press conference according to USA Today and Empire Online. Expect epic battles as more characters are thrown into the mix and maybe even Stark’s buddy James Rhodes (Don Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard) to suit up as War Machine. Rumors of the Avengers and Nick Fury’s (Samuel L. Jackson, who made an appearance after the credits in Iron Man) S.H.I.E.L.D. making appearances in this new movie will soon be confirmed so stay tuned!

Arrested Development Movie Is Happenin!!

Arrested Development Movie Is Happenin!!

arrested-development

We’ve all heard rumors about whether or not the former FOX TV show, Arrested Development, would get to step up to the big screen and get the respectable ending that it deserved. Apparently the show, which only lasted three seasons on FOX, didn’t have the following that FOX had hoped for, so it was pulled from the TV line up. But as of today, nearly 4 years after the show was cancelled, it seems that there are still “developments” being made.

According to Empire Online, Mitch Hurwitz (Creator), has officially began writing the screen-play for the Arrested Development Movie. Up until this point the thought of an A.D. movie was just hearsay, but now it is clear for take-off. One of the biggest questions that everyone has been asking is…will the original cast will be back? In the past, Hurwitz stated that the movie would not happen unless the entire cast decided to return. So it should be a good sign that all of the members of the Bluth family, including Michael Cera, will be returning for the film since the script is now being written. Obviously Cera has done some big things since the shows dismantling, but it is nice to see that he will be resuming his old role.

It is extremely humbling to see this show, which was shut down prematurely because of “bad marketing” (see: Why Was Arrested Development Cancelled?), get the recognition that it deserves.

The Hangover Sequel!?

The Hangover Sequel!?

hangover-zach-bradley-ed

No, your eyes do not deceive you. The movie that captivated our summer and provided us with laughs and quotes for weeks on end, has a sequel in development. After going from raunchy potential sleeper to one of the highest earning rated R films of all time, Warner Bros. and Legnedary Pictures have decided to capitalize on this hit and start production in October of 2010.

The original cast and our beloved boys; Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zachary Galifianakis and Justin Bartha will all be returning for this 2011 Memorial Day weekend release.

It is still unknown as to what direction the follow up will head but if the script is good enough for the original cast, we may have another major hit on our hands. Until then though, stay somewhat coherent for any updates!
