After his Grammy Awards performance on Sunday, MTV News caught up with, Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker and threw him through a gauntlet of questions mostly directed towards the bands much-anticipated upcoming album. The word on the street has been that the album was going to release in 2011, while others have heard that it will be coming out sooner. But according to Barker the band has to finish their own side-projects before they start working on the next Blink album.

“We’re about to start working on it. I’m gonna try to wrap up my album and, uh, Tom has his band, he’s wrapping up that album, and then we’ll start working on a Blink record.”

It has been nearly 7 years since the band’s last album was released in 2003, and it will be interesting to see what kind of sound they bring to the table nearly a decade later. Judging by Sunday’s performance with Lil’ Wayne, Eminem, and Drake, I think it’s safe to say that Barker still has the sound that can keep up with the music of today.

All in all, it seems as if we’ll have to play the waiting game until we find out.

Although he just released his first album in 5 years, rapper Eminem has already moved on to his next album, Relapse 2. This  album would be the follow up to his latest album, Relapse, which saw its debut on May 19 of this year. What can you expect from the aftermath of the first Relapse? “The overall basis of the record is going to be more emotionally driven”, the rapper said in an interview with Billboard, “but I went back to making songs with feeling in them”. The lyrical genius said that the first Relapse installment consisted of  “rapid-fire punch lines” and “spitting”, both of which he felt the needed to get out of his system. The Relapse 2, which is rumored to release in late 2009, is in its final stage before officially being ready to release according to the rap mogul, “It’s pretty much finished as far as recording. All that’s left to do is mix.”

To top things off, it is said that one of the tracks on the album will be a “rap face-off” between Eminem and his protĂ©gĂ© 50 Cent. “We’ve kind of done it on other records, but not like to the extent on this one”.

Apparently Mr. Mathers doesn’t want to spend any time in 2009 being sober…

We’ve all heard rumors about whether or not the former FOX TV show, Arrested Development, would get to step up to the big screen and get the respectable ending that it deserved. Apparently the show, which only lasted three seasons on FOX, didn’t have the following that FOX had hoped for, so it was pulled from the TV line up. But as of today, nearly 4 years after the show was cancelled, it seems that there are still “developments” being made.

According to Empire Online, Mitch Hurwitz (Creator), has officially began writing the screen-play for the Arrested Development Movie. Up until this point the thought of an A.D. movie was just hearsay, but now it is clear for take-off. One of the biggest questions that everyone has been asking is…will the original cast will be back? In the past, Hurwitz stated that the movie would not happen unless the entire cast decided to return. So it should be a good sign that all of the members of the Bluth family, including Michael Cera, will be returning for the film since the script is now being written. Obviously Cera has done some big things since the shows dismantling, but it is nice to see that he will be resuming his old role.

It is extremely humbling to see this show, which was shut down prematurely because of “bad marketing” (see: Why Was Arrested Development Cancelled?), get the recognition that it deserves.

The rise to stardom has been kind to the boys of Linkin Park. They are currently coming off of a chart topping hot streak with a No. 1 song (Tranformer 2’s “New Divide“), and a No. 1 album (2007’s “Minutes to Midnight“). Most musical success stories have a definitive sound that their audience can easily remember and recognize, but Linkin Park has seemingly done the opposite of that. Obviously the adrenaline rushing vocals of singer Chester Bennington easily distinguishes their band, but each album that they have put out has walked a different path. Linkin Park’s other vocal leader, Mike Shinoda, gave Billboard a little idea of what is coming. “We mentally want to get back to [2000's "Hybrid Theory"] not because we want to sound like [that], because I don’t think we do. But we want to make this record a record with identity, hopefully not one you’ve heard before. One you can listen to and say, ‘That’s brand new… It’s definitely Linkin Park, but it’s definitely different.’” It was said that their newest album should be released during the first half of 2010.

Linkin Park’s own Chester Bennington has completed his first album with his side-band, Dead By Sunrise. The band is awaiting the release of their first album “Out of Ashes“, which is due in stores on October 13th.

I know this out of the ordinary, but awhile ago I read an article on Yahoo! about a former MMPR (Mighty Morphin Power Ranger) who wants to be a  MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter. Which Power Ranger you ask? It’s none other than Tommy, the Green Ranger. It has been reported that Tommy, whos real name is Jason David Frank, has been training with a current UFC fighter, and eventually wants his shot at a fight in the Octagon. There is no question that, at the age of 35, JDF hasn’t toughend up since his dino-days, but the question that does get raised is “Will they allow him to use his Dragon Dagger, to call his Dragonzord, if he’s about to tap-0ut?”

We’re certain that the crew at Nixon can tell you. This year the elite watch company has taken one of its greatest selling watches, and given it yet another make-over.
