Pharrell Goes Country?

The N.E.R.D. front man will not rest until he has accomplished all genres of music. Which is very admirable in today’s world where individuals constantly limit themselves from exploring new ideas/things, and never just “take a chance”. Be BOLD and embrace the unknown, cause nothing comes from nothing. Props to you Pharrell.

The Cleveland Show Trailer

The Cleveland Show Trailer

the-cleveland-show1

Cleveland Brown, Peter Griffin’s token black drinking buddy in “Family Guy,” is leaving Quahog to pursue life in the spin-off series “The Cleveland Show.”

Follow Cleveland as he returns to his hometown, marries his high school sweetheart, begins a new family, and befriends a bear. Yes, a bear.  If Family Guy can have a talking dog, American Dad have a talking fish, then Cleveland can have a talking bear, damnit.

Check out the trailer here…

Somebody’s Gonna Miss Us

Somebody’s Gonna Miss Us

Nostalgic moment for one second…. sniff, sniff….

Having done their last show over a year and a half ago, The Starting Line will finally release their cd/dvd titled Somebody’s Gonna Miss Us on October 6.  The dvd documents their final hometown show in Philadelphia as well as in-depth interviews from friends, family and the band themselves.

The Starting Line, in my opinion, have paved their way into becoming classics to those who appreciate the pop/rock scene.  I’ve literally seen these guys grow up, from seeing them as kids at Warped Tour 03′ to seeing their VERY last performance at last year’s Bamboozle.

RIP The Starting Line

Cobra Starship on CNN?

Cobra Starship on CNN?

cobra-starship-1

In a classic interview with CNN the boys from Cobra Starship (Gabe Saporta and Ryland Blackinton) can be found addressing everything from bathing to their confrontation with Ashley Tisdale.

Urban Bikes

Urban Bikes

Ever since gas prices started rising, the economy took a downward turn and there was an onslaught of “go green” campaigns bike shops have been hitting record numbers and new shops are opening left and right.  With new shops and an increased interest in biking and bikes there has been a new focus on design, color and usability.  Top manufacturers and smaller manufacturers alike have been rolling out some awesome new “urban/commuter” bikes that make commuting easy and stylish.  Prices range, but these are not your $4,000 road bikes.  Good bikes are upwards of $900, but all ranges are available.  Check out a great list of 2009 bikes in varried ranges at Urban Velo.  When choosing a bike, there is no full fledge method for each rider.  The best thing to do is test ride each bike that your interested in.  All sizes vary depending on the company and size is only the beginning.

Trek District

Trek’s new belt-driven District single speed commuter bike is out of this world smooth, but not sure on the amount of “chain slippage” on major uphills.  Great for flat areas though.

What the Fringe?

What the Fringe?

Fringe is fun and flirty. Feeling the leather swoosh and sway with you makes any girl feel sexy. This stylish obsession has been seen with all kinds of fabrics and flavors.

The best of the fringe can be seen on handbags, shoes, cuffs, and earrings. Leather and feather are my fav but who knows you may be more of beading type of gal.

Sometimes clothing can have an added touch of pizzazz with fringe, but be careful you don’t want to look too overboard. Word to the wise: if you think it’s too much fringe, it probably is.

Don’t go on a fringe frenzy. Bring out the inner Pocahontas in you, but let’s keep it in moderation.
