Although we must wait until Christmas 2009 to see the film, the new Sherlock Holmes movie seems to be worth a gander during the holidays. Not taking away from the classic holiday films (the greatest being A Muppet’s Christmas Carol of course), but Guy Ritchie’s version is definitely going to bring a new meaning to deductive reasoning. As you will see in the film’s first trailer, our once dangly and sly detective is not afraid to throw down and blow shit up. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. (Holmes), Jude Law (Watson), and the ever so sexy Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler. With McAdams in the movie, there was a certain sex apeal that was added to the story. Thus, making it even more of a reason to view.

Anybody up for some technology nostalgia?? I am sure at some point we wish we still had an original Nintendo (NES) or a Walkman on hand just to embrace our childhood memories. But as newer technology is presented to us, practically everyday it seems, those marvelous wonders of the past begin to fade into distant memories. As we can see here, artist Christopher Locke has successfully attempted to capture these phenoms in a way that seems as if Fred Flinstone could have been busting out some sweet breakdancing moves while B-Rub stands by with the beats blasting from the Boombox on his shoulder. Locke is not the type of artist who is afraid to put a little muscle into his work and get down and dirty, “I work in all types of media, including metals, wood, plaster, clay, resins, foam, painting, drawing, and mixed”. He calls this art segment “Modern Fossils” on his website Christopher Locke’s Heartless Machine.
